A study has been made of the motion of a test particle in the background of a white hole particularly from the view point of its visibility to an observer at infinity. It is shown that radial as well as non-radial photons from such a particle can leak through the Schwarzschild radius even when the particle and the white hole boundary have not yet burst through. Implications of the results when applied to the case of a gray hole are also discussed.en
