dc.description.abstract Flash spectra were recorded at video rate from Behind, Madhya Pradesh A holographic transmission grating, was used in front of a CCD video camera. Using a. solar Image of 0 5mm diameter, the spectrum on the CCD was recorded on 8mm video format at both 2nd and 3rd contacts. The Hα line is visible around 2nd and 3rd contacts for 24 and 18 seconds respectively Prominent emission lines visible are Hα, He, II, Hβ. H. Ca H & K lines for analyzing the growth and decay of emission lines the entire video data have been digitized; consisting of 170 megabytes. An interesting feature observed on digitizing is the fluctuation in the intensity of the CN lines (3883Å). en
