Abstract:
The atmospheric coherence is a highly variable parameter depending upon the high velocity wind. The size of the atmospheric coherence length widely known as, Fried's parameter, ro, has been computed during night at the Cassegrain focus of the 2.34 meter Vainu Bappu Telescope (VBT), Vainu Bappu Observatory (VBO), Kavalur, India, using the speckle interferometric technique. The variation of ro value at a different interval during the night is also computed. Measurements of ro at a step of ~100 milliseconds (msec) have been carried out.
