Some aspects of MOND and its consequences for cosmology

Abstract

Some consequences of MOND (Modification of Newtonian dynamics) proposed as an alternative hypothesis to dark matter for various astrophysical situations is discussed. The ubiquitous occurrence of the fundamental acceleration invoked is pointed out.
