dc.description.abstract We have analysed various schemes for the iterative simultaneous solution of the inviscid gas dynamic equations. We have considered the problem from the point of view of the stellar atmospheres. The difference between conservative and quasiconservative systems has been analysed by using the flux vector splitting process. The radiation pressure in the atmosphere (due to continuum and resonance lines) has been included in flux vector splitting analysis to obtain best difference schemes. en
