dc.description.abstract Observations at 2 and 6 cm have been obtained for six hydrogen-deficient stars R CrB, HD 160641, BD -9 deg 4395, V 348 Sgr, MV Sgr, and Upsilon Sgr by means of the National Radio Astronomy Observatory's Very Large Array (VLA). Upper limits to the flux density were used to estimate upper limits to the mass loss rates. The upper limits to the rate of mass loss obtained for HD 160641 and BD -9 deg 4395 objects are in agreement with the upper limits of 1 x 10 to the -7.2 and 1 x 10 to the -7.7 solar masses/yr, respectively, determined by Hamann et al. (1982) from ultraviolet spectral lines. en
