dc.description.abstract The behavior and significance of a third harmonic peak at about 3/22/y which is present in the spectra of all the odd degree axisymmetric modes with respect to the temporal frequency are investigated. The correlation between the amplitudes and phases of the third harmonic components and those of the corresponding first harmonic components is determined. The presence of high correlation between the amplitudes of the first and third harmonics shows that the third harmonic peaks do not represent any independent periodicity. en
