dc.description.abstract A mean-field description of nonoverlaping nucleon bags bound by the self-consistent exchange of σ, ω, and ρ mesons is used to investigate the properties of neutron matter at finite temperature. We use the equation of state of zero temperature to study the rotating neutron star in the Komatsu-Eriguchi-Hachisu method. The mass, radius, and angular velocity of the neutron star are calculated and compared with the Walecka model. en
