GRIN lenses have been fabricated using Ag/sup+/ < -- > Na/sup+/ ion-exchange in glass. The fabrication process and characterization of GRIN lenses are discussed. The refractive index profile was studied on the Mach-Zehnder interferometer and the results are presented
