dc.description.abstract In the present investigation we have studied the relation between solar proton flares and associated optical, radio and x-ray events. It is found that optical flares are usually associated with large optical flares in H-alpha (≥ 2B) and long duration type II and IV, microwave and hard X-ray bursts. The results obtained in the present analysis may be used for the prediction of solar proton flares.
