dc.description.abstract | The possibility of direct generation of electromagnetic radiation at and near electron plasma frequency from an electron beam-magnetoplasma system is explored. The role of the electron beam is replaced by the electron plasma electrostatic wave generated by it. Under the combined influence of this electrostatic field and the magnetic field, the collective motion of the plasma particles gives rise to electromagnetic modes (transverse modes). The expressions for the transverse dielectric function and the growth rate are derived. These expressions are then applied to the sporadic radio emission from the sun. | en |
