Abstract: | The theory of the holographically prepared grating on a cylindrical surface has been developed, to be applicable in grazing incidence, in a convergent beam of light and in transmission in the objective mode for the design of X-ray and XUV spectrographic systems. The design parameters for a grating with minimum astigmatism for the entire wavelength range up to 0.050 micron and zero astigmatism at one wavelength in this region have been calculated. The other wavelength at which astigmatism is zero helps in reducing astigmatism throughout the entire wavelength region being considered. Coma type aberration and resolution at different wavelengths have also been estimated. |
