Abstract:	We examine the neutrino emissivity of a system of degenerate three-component (u, d, s) strange quark matter using improved expressions for the quark chemical potentials in a self-consistent manner, and obtain tighter bounds on the neutrino emissivity due to the presence of strange quarks.
