Abstract: Photometry in the O I 7774 A line and the uvbybeta system is presented for a group of high Galactic latitude F-type luminosity type I stars. The results indicate that the candidates are high gravity near solar Fe/H abundance stars in or near the Galactic plane. It is suggested that the stars are not tracers of recent star formations in the halo, but are probable low mass stars of the old disk population which do not conform to the UU Herculis class. The star BD 45 deg 1872 is an exception and is probably a low mass star very similar to members of the UU Her group.
