Lithium abundances for a sample of 451 F and G dwarfs including 181 new stars all belonging to the Galactic thin disk are discussed. Lithium abundances, metallicities ([Fe/H]), masses, and ages are determined (Lambert & Reddy 2004). The field stars span a larger range in [Fe/H] than the open clusters for which [Fe/H] ≈ 0.0±0.2. The initial Li from which stars formed has been traced from stars for which astration of lithium is believed to be unimportant.en
