dc.description.abstract |
The 20-cm astrograph of the Nizamiah and Japal-Rangapur Observatoies in India was used to obtain photographic plates of Comet Halley before and after perihelion during the 1985-1986 apparition. The images are reduced and used to determine the apparent geocentric positions of the comet. The results are shown to be in good agreement with predicted values from the International Halley Watch program |
