Observations of Associated H I Absorption in Radio Galaxies and Quasars using GMRT

Abstract

We describe observations and preliminary results of absorption by cold hydrogen gas (H I) associated with six radio galaxies and quasars (Table 1) which may provide valuable information about their host galaxies and their surroundings. Observations were made using GMRr (Swarup et aI. 1991).
