A qualitative study of the two-body problem in Maneff's gravitational field is being performed by representing the motion in the (1/r, r-plane. The phase trajectories are found to be only conic sections(or arcs of them). Each allowed trajectory is interpreted from the standpoint of physical motion. Concrete astronomical exemplifications are made. |
