|Title:||Whither strange pulsars?|

|Abstract:||It has been argued that some of the pulsars could be strange stars because these too are capable of supporting fast rotations observed in pulsars. We examine this claim from the point of view of the evolution of magnetic field in pulsars and find that there is no compelling reason for the existence of strange pulsars.|
