Comprehensive simulation studies, using the CORSIKA air-shower code are in progress to predict and optimize the performance of the TACTIC gamma-ray telescope array. Preliminary results are presensted here on the gamma-ray threshold energies likely to be achieved by its Central Imaging Element and 3 vertex Elements, using 2 independent, innovative trigger-generation criteria. |
