dc.description.abstract BVRI polarization measurements of 14 selected young stars with circumstellar dust disks are presented. The interstellar polarization in the direction of these stars is not significant. The observed polarization data and its wavelength-dependence indicate that it is intrinsic, due to scattering by circumstellar, asymmetric dusty disks/envelopes. en
