A Telescope is an instrument that aids in the observation of stellar and celestial objects. Mirrors are an important subsystem in the Telescope. Over a period, due to weathering effects, reflection efficiency of the mirrors will be reduced. Hence mirrors need to be coated periodically for better efficiency. The coating plant operation can be controlled through software due to the adoption of modern hardware in the plant. This software is developed indigenously for the operations of the 2.8m mirror coating plant, implemented its operation successfully.en_US
