Solar wind velocity estimation using the method of multi-station interplanetary scintillation observations has been reviewed. It is shown that the interred model for the electron density fluctuations in the solar wind differs significantly from that for the proton density. The high latitude solar wind has a strong correlation with the presence of coronal hole regions.en
