A limb monitor was fabricated and used for the observation of seeing conditions at the Solar tower telescope of Kodaikanal observatory. We describe the instrument and report the results obtained on image stability, intermittency of good moments, their durations and utility in adopting a frame selection technique at the telescope. We discuss the observed clustering of moments with good image steadiness and use it to estimate the cell size range of a dominant scale of atmospheric turbulence during the observations.en
