dc.description.abstract | Quasar absorption lines are an important tool to probe the universe at high redshifts, as they enable us to observe galaxies and intergalactic clouds at large distances, which are virtually inaccessible otherwise. This area of research is of great current interest and holds promise for the understanding of the large scale introduces the quasar absorption lines and describes their classification and properties. The interpretation of the properties in terms of models is briefly discussed. Some of the cosmological implications are stated | en |
