The maximum acceleration at the Planck epoch is shown to be related to the maximum magnetic field and curvature as well as temperature in that era. Spin-torsion effects at that epoch also lead to same value.

  • Sivaram, C (Deccan Herald, 2011-02-08)
FORTY YEARS OF APOLLO 14 On February 9, 1971, manned lunar mission Apollo 14 returned to earth. The mission generated great interest back then, particularly after the near-failure of Apollo 13. Also, the mission is ...
  • Sivaram, C (International Union of Pure and Applied Physics, 1995)
Two possible merger modes of gamma ray bursts are considered. The merger of two white dwarfs leading to a neutrino bursts accompanying the gamma ray burst. However the merger of two neutron stars should give rise to only ...
  • de Sabbata, V; Sivaram, C (Springer, 1992-04)
We show that introducing torsion in general relativity, that is, physically, considering the effect of the spin and linking the torsion to defects in spacetime topology, we can have a minimal unit of time. Also an uncertainty ...
  • Kochhar, R. K; Sivaram, C (Springer, 1984-01)
The authors suggest a model for the millisecond pulsar PSR 1937+214, according to which the immediate progenitor of the pulsar was a binary consisting of two neutron stars of unequal mass. The heavier neutron star was spun ...
  • Sivaram, C; Arun, K (Ane Books, 2009)
The year 2009 is being recognised as the international year of astronomy (IYA) to mark the four hundredth anniversary of the historical occasion in the year 1609 when Galileo Galilei used the then newly invented telescope ...
  • Sivaram, C (Springer, 1994-09)
A possible connection between MOND (Modification of Newtonian Dynamics) proposed as an alternative hypothesis to dark matter in galaxies and clusters and a residual cosmological constant term dominating cosmological dynamics ...
  • Sivaram, C; Arun, Kenath; Rebecca, Louise (Indian Academy of Sciences, 2020-02)
In view of the negative results from various dark matter detection experiments, we propose alternate models by postulating a minimal field strength (minimal curvature) and also a minimal acceleration. These postulates ...
  • Rebecca, Louise; Kenath, Arun; Sivaram, C (World Scientific Publishing, 2022-04-30)
The presence of dark matter (DM), though well established by indirect evidence, is yet to be observed directly. Various DM detection experiments running for several years have yielded no positive results. In view of these ...
  • de Sabbata, V; Sivaram, C (Springer, 1989-08)
The torsion-coupling constant (which depends on energy as E exp -2) can pass through the values of the coupling constants of the other interactions during the evolution of the universe. An energy-dependent torsion-coupling ...
  • Datta, B; Sivaram, C; Ghosh, S. K (Springer, 1985-04)
Several independent considerations which rule out the hypothesis that the missing mass in galactic halos is composed of massive neutral fermions such as neutrinos, gravitinos, or photinos are discussed. It is found that ...
  • Sivaram, C (Kluwer Academic Publishers, 1989)
Neutrino burst observations from SN1987A indicate that the density and the temperature of the source and the propagation of the neutrinos in the medium are markedly different from those of solar and terrestrial conditions. ...
  • de Sabbata, V; Sivaram, C (Italian Physical Society, 1990-05)
The authors consider a spin-torsion coupling for neutrinos in the early universe and show that a neutrino magnetic moment can be present also for zeromass neutrinos. They make an estimate of this induced magnetic moment ...
  • de Sabbata, V; Sivaram, C (International Cosmic Ray, 1990)
If neutrinos couple to torsion in the frame work of the Einstein-Cartan theory, with a strength about that of the weak interaction, then the spin-torsion interaction can induce an effective neutrino magnetic moment. We ...
